Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Shelja a former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha member addressing media persons accused both ruling BJP-JJP alliance government political leaders as well as government bureaucrats responsible for large number of scams from time to time in Haryana state when people in the country including Haryana state are fighting against epidemic outbreak corona. She said, Haryana state witnessed large number of scams in past six years in which the state suffered heavy revenue loss.
Shelja said, Haryana state has witnessed two scams: Liquor Scam and Registry Scam of value worth hundreds crores each reported during lock down period this year in the state, which need investigation by a sitting High Court judge for which Congress had district wise protests recently and submitted memorandum to Governor Haryana through Deputy Commissioners in every district against increasing corruption and frauds in government departments.
Shelja said, illicit liquor bottles worth over crore of value rupees hundreds crores was illegally sold in the state as well as smuggled to other state during lock down period, besides thousands of registrations of properties were done in state tehsil offices by revenue officers illegally without having NOC from district town planners in unapproved colonies developed by Land mafias and agents and as an eye wash a handful of officers were suspended by the government in worst affected Gurugram district. She alleged, those responsible for corrupt practices during lock down period were sheltered by senior political leaders and government bureaucrats.
Shelja expressed surprise over Dushyant Chautala Deputy Chief Minister Haryana, also holding excise department, saving the skin of excise department officers alleged responsible for illegal activities in the state according to SET report submitted by team of senior IAS, IPS and Excise department officers to Home Minister Anil Vij also recommended another investigation by Vigilance Department against police and excise department officers but Dushyant Chautala gave clean chit to Excise Commissioner. However, Shelja appreciated Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter saying that action will be taken against officers alleged responsible for embezzlements in SET report in-spite of fact Dushyant Chautala gave clean chit to his department officials and forwarded the case to Chief Secretary for her recommendations and further action. Shelja said, in case of an unfavourable investigation by Vigilance Department several more officers will be found involved in this scam.
