Gurugram in Haryana to have biggest heli hub similar to Juhu in Mumbai

Government in the centre has approved project for developing biggest intercity and intro-city heli hub in the country at Gurugram in Haryana state similar to one at Juhu in Mumbai. Which will not only provide facility for landing and taking off helicopters but also for parking, repairs and filling fuel in helicopters belonging to government as well as private sectors. Information reveals, Manohar Lal Khatter Chief Minister Haryana recently had a meeting with the Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in this regard at New Delhi when government approved proposal to develop five similar types of heli hubs in the country similar to one at Juhu in Mumbai to accommodate 20-25 helicopters at a time in each heli hub, whereas heli hub proposed at Gurugram will have capacity to accommodate 30-35 helicopters at a time.

Chief Minister Haryana  Manohar Lal Khatter in recent meeting with Union Aviation Minister Scindia agreed to provide suitable land for proposed heli hub near the global city Gurugram to provide services to government, owned by airways companies and private helicopters, which are presently availing facilities at busy Indra Gandhi International Airport New Delhi. According to information, many times helicopters are not getting permission for parking, landing and taking off these helicopters at busy New Delhi Airport and are forced to avail such services at Jaipur Airport facing lot of inconvenience.

Chief Minister told media persons that work at Hisar Airport is under fast process likely to be fully completed within two years. He said, there are already four helipads in Haryana state at Pinjot, Karnal, Bhiwani and Narnaul to provide flying training yet require modification and servicing of helicopters and aircrafts. He said, there is proposal to set up flying training institutes at Bhiwani  and Narnaul in the state by government in centre.
