HAFED opening retail outlets in all Haryana districts

 HAFED a unit of Haryana government  aiming to give tough fight to ITC and Patanjali has taken decision to open its exclusive retail stores  ‘HAFED BAZAR’ for sale of its essential commodity food products in every district in the state. Addressing media persons HAFED chairman Kailash Bhagat after holding meeting with distributors and senior staff and related state government officers said, HAFED aims to sell complete range of food products including wheat flour, mustard oil, variety of cooking oils, sugar, jiggery, turmeric, spices and other products  used in every kitchen in best quality and competitive rates to consumers in their retail outlets in every district as well as towns in the state and has already finalized in several towns.

The first store was opened at Panchkula having good response from consumers. He assured that HAFED will not compromise on quality of products sold in these retail outlets. He said HAFED has been selling nearly 6000 tons wheat flour annually having turnover worth Rs 13000 crore and earned profit worth Rs 60 crore in the year 2020-2 and sold huge quantity of mustard oil in past years through a network of dealers in the state and now hope to have handsome market share of our quality products after opening of our own retail outlets. Bhagat said, decision to open HAFED BAZAR in all prominent towns has been taken in view of large complaints about sale of adulterated food products being sold in market.

Bhagat said, among priority products sold in HAFED retail stores include multigrain flour having 65% wheat flour and remaining 35% other herbal based organic components to bood immunity in human body in 5 kg and 10 kg packings. He said, HAFED has already started operations at Panchkula and Kurukshetra outlets having good response and among priority products include ‘Dalia’, Poha, jiggery, sugar, pulses. biscuits manufactured from ‘Bajra’, spices and large variety of refined oils likely to give tough fight to ITC and Patanjali products..
