Harassed rice miller commits suicide, alleged Rs 10 lakh demand by HAFED DM

Ambala, (Satish Handa): Commission Agent in Ambala City grain maeket as well as owner of Shubham Rice Mill at village Suller near Ambala City Madan Lal Jindal (55) resident of Sector 8 Ambala City committed suicide by hanging with ceiling fan in his shop in the grain market Ambala City on Monday. Other commission agents in the grain market informed police which arrived at the spot, sent body to civil hospital for postmortem. During search police recovered a suicide note in which deceased alleged Vikas Deswal HAFED DM repossible for his suicide due to harassing him since past many days demanding Rs 10 lakh bribe for providing permission to run his rice seller installed four years ago. The deceased stated in suicide note that he had secured heavy loans from the bank for installation of his rice sheller and paying loan instalments regularly. Deceased further added in the note that he is committing suicide in order to save his reputation. A case was registered by  the police on the complaint of Shubham Jindal son of deceased..
Meanwhile, Bajrang Garg.President of Haryana Vyapar Mandal and General Secretary All India Vyapar Mandal strongly codemned over the incident demanding stern action against HAFED MD Vikas Deswal involved in corrupt practices and Haryana state government to pay minimum Rs 50 lakh compensation to the family of deceased. Garg said, corruption has gripped the state and government offices in every sector are not prepared to do any work without taking bribe. He said, all corrupt officers in government offices should be thrown out for the sake of saving government reputation. Garg said, trade and industry in the state providing jobs to people are facing harassment in government offices demanding bribe for every job..He said, Portal Systen in grain markets in the state is merely an eye wash, usually remain out of order and farmers in the state are moving post to pillar since past 20 days to sell out their paddy crops.
