Haryana becoming a junction for supply of IED in the country

With repeated incidents of recovery of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) in Haryana state in past few months including recent case a couple of days ago in which IED packet along with RDX  was recovered on Jind Road near Kainchi Chowk at Kaithal when SHO Titram police station Ram Lal reached at the spot immediately along with police force and entire area around the spot was sealed and a case was registered under Explosive Substance Act. STI Ambala started investigation in the case. A bomb disposal squad arrived from Madhuban (Karnal) and diffused the bombs.

Surprisingly, in past few months IED has also been recovered at Ambala, Karnal and Kurukshetra districts which is a clear indication that Haryana becoming a junction for supply of  explosive to other states in the country. Maqsood Ahmed SP Kaithal also arrived at the spot told media persons that in this case of blast of timer bomb it would have caused severe destruction in about 75 meters area due to explosion.

According to information, three hand grenade timer bombs, IED was recovered near Ambala on 20th March, 2022 near an educational institute on the national highway at village Saddopur close to Punajb-Haryana border. Similarly, Karnal police on a information on 5th May, 2022 recovered IED in a Inova car at Bastada Toll Plaza near Karnal and arrested four persons carrying explosive material identified as Gurpreet Singh and his brother Amandeep Singh both residents of Ferozpur, Parminder Singh  and Bhupinder residents of Ludhiana all arrested by the police. On 4th August 2022 police recovered a packet containing 2.5 kg RDX along with a pistol near Mirchi Hotel on G.T. Road near Shahabad in Kurukshera district and arrested a suspected person identified as Shamsher Singh a resident of Tarantaran in Punjab state.

Investigation by STI from Punjab revealed that a gangster identified as Harvinder Singh alias Rinda wanted in several criminal cases in Punjab managed to flee and presently residing in Pakistan running a network in India trying to spread terrorism on the directions by a terrorists group in Pakistan. According to National Investigation Agency information,  Harvinder Singh alias Rinda managing to send explosive material near Indo-Pak border area in Punjab through drone collected by his companions in Punjab and transfer the consignment at towns in neighboring Haryana state for onward deliveries at the destinations in rest part of country.

Harvinder Singh alias Rinda against whom first criminal case was registered  at Sirhali police station in Tarantaran district in Punjab about 14 years ago and presently he is involved in more than 31 cases of murder, attempt to murder, Snatchings, smuggling arms and supply of RDX registered against him at various police stations at Punjab, Mumbai and Chandigarh. Rinda has been declared most wanted criminal by Punjab police and he was prime accuse in the case of grenade attack on police headquarter at Mohali.
