Chandigarh : The Delhi resident woman who filed an FIR for gangrape against Haryana BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli and Haryanvi singer Rocky Mittal have come forward for the first time with tears in her eyes to release a video and cry that her life is in danger. Accusing Badoli and Rocky compelled her to take liquor, assuring job, not only raped her forcibly but also prepared her nude video when she was under the influence of liquor. They were possessed by brutality, and did not even care about their age. She said that she will present evidence against both Baroli and Rocky saying that even her friend who accompanied her to Kasauli lied. “I cannot tell anyone what is happening to me,” she said. However, both Badoli and Rocky has denied charges saying that they are being involved in false rape allegations under a political or a financial conspiracy which are cmpletely basesless.
The BJP is battling an unwanted controversy over the rape accusation against its Haryana president Mohan Lal Badoli, which has come at a time when the party is leaving no stone unturned to dislodge the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP from power in Delhi. However, a senior BJP leader, Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij Haryana state cabinet minister and a senior BJP leader had suggested Mohan Lal Badoli to step aside till probe is over, since Badoli’s position is weakened, his track record has witnessed fall. Vij said that Badoli should step down as state BJP president till the investigation gets over, added that though he believed that Badoli would come out innocent after the investigation, but to maintain the party’s sanctity, he should resign for the time being. In Haryana, the party has deferred the elections for the state president’s post expected to be held by the end of this month till further notice. While state BJP leaders have backed Badoli, who is believed to be close to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
The Himachal police have booked Badoli and former BJP publicity cell chairman Jai Bhagwan or Rocky Mital, who is a Haryanvi singer and music composer, on charges of gangrape. The FIR was registered on December 13 based on a complaint by a Delhi-based woman. After news of the FIR emerged earlier in the week, The political future of Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli hangs in balance after gang-rape allegations surfaced against him. Badoli termed the accusations as completely baseless, and politically motivated. According to BJP leaders, Mohan Lal Badoli’s reputation and conduct in the past has been satisfactory and his past track record as the one who worked for strengthening the party in Haryana stands in his favour. Sources said, although his position for the top post has become weakened due to this controversy and during the pendency of the ongoing investigation but he would come out clean, the reasons for which he was falsely implicated in this case shall emerge once the Himachal Pradesh police concludes its investigation.
Past scenario reveals that before entering politics, Badoli ran a shop in the cloth market of Bahalgarh, near Sonipat. In 1995, he was made the mandal president of Murthal and in 2000, when the Indian National Lok Dal was in power in Haryana, he became the first BJP leader to win a zilla parishad election from Murthal. In 2020, the BJP appointed Badoli as its Sonipat president and the following year, he was made general secretary and inducted into the state BJP’s core team. Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, he was drafted into the Haryana BJP’s election committee and was preferred over sitting Sonipat MP Ramesh Chander Kaushik as the party’s candidate. However, Badoli lost the poll to Congress’s Satpal Brahmachari by 21,816 votes.
Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli and Mittal co-accused of rape have refuted the rape accusations levelled against them by a Delhi-based woman. The Bharatiya Janata Party’s former publicity cell chairman Rocky Mittal said he is being blackmailed and a Sonipat-based politician is behind all this. Badoli and Rocky alias Jai Bhagwan, both has been accused of rape in the hotel in Himachal Pradesh’s Kasauli, claimed the FIR against them was part of a political scandal. Talking to media persons for the first time since the FIR was lodged in December last year, Mittal claimed he is having multiple phone call recordings related to this alleged crime. The alleged victim should be made to go through a polygraph test to unveil the truth. It is a scandal for which a group of people have been working for the last five to six years and the complainant woman is shedding crocodile tears.
Rocky said, the woman [victim] and her friend came to his home in Panchkula and also wanted to meet Mohan Lal Badoli. “I have at least eight phone call recordings in which her true intention is clear. She is just doing all this to blackmail. A Sonipat-based politician is behind all this who wants Badoli to be removed from the post of BJP president. This case should be handed over to CBI to unveil the truth,” Rocky said it is due to the political muck that these accusations are being levelled. There are multiple CDs on the basis of which several people are being blackmailed and threatened. It is among the BJP’s own leaders’ tussle in which I am also being dragged. I have got nothing to do with it. I should not be dragged into their [BJP’s] own infighting,” Rocky added that he has ample proof, but will only share those either with the Central Bureau of Investigation or senior police officers when required. Badoli’s wife Geeta Kaushik has also demanded a CBI probe to unveil the truth in the entire case. The victim complainant woman recently apprehended a threat to her life and claimed that she had enough evidence to prove her accusations against Badoli and Mittal. She also alleged that Mittal offered her to give her a role in one of his music albums and Badoli said he would give her a government job.
