Panchkula: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has made big announcements on Women’s Day. He announced 25 holidays instead of 20 per year for regular women employees in state government offices. He said women will also be provided interest-free loans up to Rs 1 lakh for setting up dairy units. The Chief Minister also made several other announcements at the state-level in ‘Mahila Samman Samaroh’ organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day on Saturday. Similarly, women employees working in Haryana Skill Employment Corporation used to get 10 holidays per year, now in addition to these annual leaves, women employees will be given one additional leave per month, thus these employees will get 22 holidays instead of 10. Saini said that women of the state will be provided interest free loans up to Rs one lakh for setting up dairy units.
Saini inaugurated 44 new Anganwadi centres in the state and laid the online foundation stone of Bal Bhawan at Charkhi Dadri. He also launched the portal for domestic violence complaint registration and monitoring, MIS portal for ‘Aapki Beti-Hamari Beti’ and SNP demand and supply portal. Saini there is a woman behind every successful person, and it is absolutely correct and there should be an opportunity to honour her and express gratitude towards her. He said in my own life, my mother too has a very big contribution in my success. The Chief Minister honoured the districts by giving them state level awards for improving sex ratio. Karnal and Yamunanagar districts were jointly awarded the first prize. He honoured Karnal Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh and Yamunanagar Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta by giving them an amount of Rs 2.50 lakh each.
District Mahendragarh was awarded Rs 3 lakh to Deputy Commissioner Dr Vivek Bharti for securing second position and District Bhiwani was awarded Rs 2 lakh to Deputy Commissioner Mahavir Kaushik for securing third position. Similarly, the Chief Minister awarded the Nutrition Award to the three best districts for bringing maximum improvement in the nutritional status of children below the age of 6 years. CM Saini awarded cash prizes of Rs 2 lakh, Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50 thousand to Deputy Commissioner Yamuna Nagar for securing first position, Deputy Commissioner Kurukshetra for securing second position and Deputy Commissioner Bhiwani for securing third position respectively. The Chief Minister honoured Shanta Ranga of Karnal district with Sushma Swaraj Award worth Rs 5 lakh, Kumari Bala Verma of Hisar district and Rekha Rani Dhiman of Jind district with Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Award worth Rs 1.50 lakh each.
Nayab Saini said that people in Haryana state will not face any problem in getting medical treatment now, with the increase of 1090 doctors in government hospitals which include 705 female doctors and handed over CM appointment letters to newly appointed doctors. Saini said, these include 561 doctors of the Health Department and 529 Ayurvedic Medical Officers of the AYUSH Department thus meeting the shortage of doctors in Haryana hospitals. On Women’s Day, CM Naib Saini handed over appointment letters to 705 women doctors. CM added, at present the recruitment process is going on for the regular posts of 777 medical officers. The present government has made tireless efforts to fulfill the shortage of doctors in the state and 2807 medical officers have been recruited from 2014 till now. Saini said the government has increased the number of MBBS seats in the state to 2,185, whereas there were only 700 MBBS seats in 2014. Apart from this, PG seats have also been increased from 289 to 1006.
State Health Minister Kumari Arti Singh Rao said that the health department of the state is constantly upgrading in terms of infrastructure, manpower, equipment and medicines etc. She said, Haryana has got the first position in the country under the ‘Anaemia Mukt Bharat’ program. She added that 9 specialist MCH wings will be established in Panchkula, Panipat, Faridabad, Sonipat, Palwal, Sirsa, Kaithal, Mahendragarh and Medical College Nuh. Haryana government is providing free dialysis services to kidney patients from 17 October 2024. Stage-3 and Stage-4 cancer patients are being given assistance of Rs 3000 per month.
