Haryana focusing on mini clusters for MSME sector

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar while talking to media persons at Chandigarh said that inspired by the central government scheme to develop clusters for MSME units decision has been taken to develop mini clusters in Haryana state to assist micro and small industries in around 25 acre area, instead of 100 acre area which will be known as the State Mini Cluster Development Programme for which a 90 per cent grant-in-aid will be provided for setting up common facility centres. Khattar said that MSME units are providing maximum employment opportunities to people in the state and need full cooperation by the government.

Chief Minister said that the process for setting up 43 mini clusters initially in the state is going on, out of which work on 25 clusters have already started. He said, this scheme was discussed with the micro, small and medium entrepreneurs during a virtual programme and was much appreciated by them and lage number of the entrepreneurs thanked him for the pro-MSME schemes being run by the state government to promote industries in the state. The Chief Minister said small-scale industries playing important role in strengthening the economy in the country at present and MSMEs help in realising the Prime Minister’s self-reliant India dream. Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala was also present in the meeting in which changes were made in Padma policy in the state, since earlier the state government was giving importance to big industries but now focussing on promoting micro, small, and medium industries in the state which need less investment capital, but providing ample employment to people, said Khattar.

Khattar said,there is a plan to provide special incentives for start ups in Padma scheme to provide them financial assistance up to Rs 20 lakh for prototype development, manufacturing and entry in marketing and exports. He said, there is planning to provide financial assistance to start ups for designing, branding, technical support, packaging, marketing and exports. He said, there is provision to provide financial assistance to MSME participating in Trade Fairs as Rs 50000 in case of International Trade Fair and Rs 25000 in case of National Trade Fair under ‘Bazar Vikas  Sahayata Yozna’.
