Ambala: Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij while holding ‘Janta Durbar’ at PWD Rest House Ambala Cantt on Saturday listened to more than 6000 public grievances from suffering people arrived from every district across the state in a hope to seek justice. Vij often hold such meetings in order to solve grievances of people in the state. Talking to media persons, Vij said, people arrive from distant places hoping to get justice in his ‘Janta Durbar’ which include large number of females with tears in their eyes in a hope to seek justice and he cannot see tears in the eyes of any one. Information reveals, most of the public grievances are seen generally related to police department or bureaucrats working in government offices in the state.
Listening to public grievances continuously for hours, Vij all of sudden became unwell at around 2 PM on Saturday and was immediately rushed to a room in the rest house and attended by a team of doctors and started listening to public grievances again after 40-45 minutes without caring for his health. Sometime ago, while talking to media persons here Vij expressed deep concern over most of the complaints received in his ‘Public Durbar’ are related against police department and corruption in government offices and he directed all SPs and DCs in Haryana districts to take stern action against public sufferings in these departments. According to media information, out of total number of public grievances in ‘Public Durbar’ more than 50% complaints were found related to police not taking or delaying action on their complaints for a long time demanding action to wipe out corruption and suspend corrupt officers in government offices in the state by the government enabling them to seek justice.
However, speedy action was taken by Vij to solve most of the public grievances at the spot till late evening referring concerned departments a speedy action as well as report. Referring to a complaint against recently appointed Congress President in the state Udaibhan allegedly encroached 200 acre government land allotted to his near and dears and directed Deputy Commissioner Palwal to investigate the case and submit report.
