Ambala : Maximum number of complaints received during ‘Janta Durbar’ held here every Saturday by Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij to listen to the grievances of people in the state are generally related against police department in the state, it was admitted by Anil Vij while talking to media persons here. During the recent ‘Janta Durbar’ held this Saturday, Home Minister ordered suspension of Manio Kumar DSP Gharaunda for registering a false case against a retired Subedar Major from army, a resident of Karnal and no action was taken by the police station in-spite of his instructions. Vij also suspended ASI and a constable in this regard responsible for registering a false. Vij warned that stern action will be taken against police personnel found involved in lapses while handling the cases.
Home Minister ordered immediate suspension of a police constable on the complaint of his wife also working in police that her husband was missing as well as absconding from duty since past about a year. In another case, there was a complaint from a resident of Shahabad in Kurukshetra district that his wife was forcibly raped but police is not registering a case against the accused and demanding Rs 20000 bribe for the same. Home MinisterVij handed over investigation to SP Karnal to investigate the case and submit ra eport immediately.
SP Ambala Jashandeep Singh Randhawa ordered immediate suspension of three employees including in-charge of Housing Board police post Ambala Cantt allegedly released three drug smugglers taken into custody at a police barrier near Deha Colony Ambala Cantt which is known as hub for smuggling and sale of drugs, but the accused brought by PCR van were released by the Housing Board Colony police post without taking action suspected released them without taking action, suspected accepted bribe. Informing also reveals that a similar case was reported at this police post some time ago when ASI incharge of the police post had released drug smugglers without taking action against them. SP Ambala said that a high level investigation against the in-charge and other two employees has been ordered and responsible police staff will not be spared at any cost.
There are another two cases reported against Police Inspector Subhash, earlier working with Mahesh Nagar police station Ambala Cantt, who was alleged associated with a female racket involved in fake honey trap of innocent persons cases. The racket earlier trapped a businessman and his son owning a plywood industry at Yamunanagar and a case was registered on the complaint of a woman from Mohali in Punjab a member of racket extracted amount worth Rs 30 lakh from alleged accused and police investigation in the case was handed over to Inspector Subhash then posted in Yamunanagar district. During investigation the case was found false. Similarly, another fake honey trap case was registered against a youth Manoj working in a private company, residing in Sector 9 Ambala City. Investigation revealed that the youth was falsely trapped in the net by a racket of three women including wife of alleged accuse Manoj, both having a divorce case under trial in the court. Investigation also revealed that Inspector Subhash was the mastermind in this case in which all three women were also arrested, whereas Inspector Subhash managed to go underground from duty, yet wanted by the police. SP Ambala confirmed that two FIRs are registered against the former police officer.
