Haryana police busts immigration gang with 5 held, Rs 37 lakh, 6 luxury cars & 111 passports

Addressing a press conference  SP Ambala  Jashandeep Singh Randhawa said the nexus came to light when Narender Singh a resident of Ambala district  filed a complaint against Gagandeep Singh alias Hunny resident of Topkhana Bazar in Ambala Cantonment area running a confectionery shop presently on five days police remand and his brother Harsimran Singh alias Ginni yet absconding allegedly duping him of ₹2-lakh taken as advance on the pretext of settling his family of three to U K against a deal finalized in ₹20 lakh.

Information reveals that meanwhile several complaints of cheating youths by the interstate racket from Kaithal, Jind, Panipat, Kurukshetra have also been received. Randhawa told that other members of immigration racket Deep Singh alias Kala arrested from Delhi, Amandeep Singh alias Sonu, Prabhjot Singh alias Babloo a resident of Ludhiana  have been nabbed by the police so far presently on police remand.

Randhawa told media persons that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Ambala police led by Ram Kumar DSP recovered amount worth Rs 37 lakh, six luxury cars including Rang Rover, Mercedes Benz, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, Ford Endeaour Sport, a Toyota Fortune brands and a Bullet motor cycle. Police also recovered 111 passports from accused and their bank account having Rs 33,50,000 has been sealed by the police. The prime accused, Gagandeep Singh alias Hunny from Ambala Cantonment area. Randhawa told that the special investigation team (SIT) of Ambala police busted this inter-state immigration fraudsters’ gang and arrested five accused including the prime accused Gagandeep Singh alias Hunny.

SP Randhawa told media persons that police arrested Pardeep who was into preparing files and arranging forged documents such as IT returns, educational or others for applicants. He said, Punjab’s Prabhjot is the latest arrest and is Amandeep’s aide. During searches, police recovered 11 1 passports and scores of scanned passport copies of UK, Europe and USA.
