Haryana residents raise question if this is ‘Pehchan’ or ‘Pareshan’ Patar ?

The scheme introduced by Haryana state government to prepare ‘Parivar Pehchan Patar’ (PPP) for every family in the state has brought discomfort for large number of families in the state due to incorrect information recorded while preparing them as a result large number of families belonging to below poverty line (BPL) in the state are deprived of their rights such as facilities by the government for such families in the state due to incorrect data as such these families not only suffering financial loss, deprived of their rights as well as now facing lot of inconvenience, waste of time and harassment visiting government offices for the correction of data in their PPP.

Information reveals, nearly 14 lakh complaints have been received by the state government Haryana as regard incorrect data in their PPP so far, which include 11.23 lakh complaints as regard incorrect annual income earned by the family as a result the names of nearly 9.60 lakh families below poverty line (BPL) have been deleted from the list of those families getting benefits by the government available to BPL families. Information also reveals that correction in about 2.25 lakh PPP has already been made so far and names of nearly 1.05 lakh new BPL families has also been included in the list of such families. According to a government spokes person corrections to be updated in PPP are being made at the several centers set up by the government across the state in every ward in urban areas and in villages, besides such services are available at Atal Sewa Kendra, CSC Centre and Saral Kendra in every town available in the state.

According to government spokes person, the reason for deleting the family from BPL list may be on the basis of several reasons such as annual income of the family over Rs 1.80 collected on the basis of various reasons which include filing annual income tax return by head of the family above Rs 1.80 lakh annual, paying annual electricity bill by the family more than Rs 9000, a member of the family working in government department, if a member of farmer family have annual income more than Rs 1.80 lakh for three years under ‘Meri Fasal Mera Biyora’ scheme implemented by the state government, if a member in the family getting annual pension over Rs 1.80 lakh, if the family have property in more than 100 square yards in urban area or having property in 200 square yards in rural area are not liable to have facilities for BPL families as such during survey the names of such families were deleted from the loist of BPL families.
