Chandigarh: Haryana will establish 10 ultra-modern industrial townships in the entire state on the lines of IMT Kharkhoda. In each such township, special incentives will be given to the entrepreneurs for giving employment to nearly 50,000 youths from nearby rural areas. Haryana Governor, Bandaru Dattatraya while addressing the first session of the State’s 15th Vidhan Sabha on November 13 said that an EV Park in Rohtak, IT park and data centre in Panchkula and Faridabad, world-class logistics hub in Sonipat, an industrial model park in Palwal, footwear park in Jhajjar, an industrial cluster in Hisar, an modern sunflower oil mill in Kurukshetra and the country’s largest mustard oil cooperative mill will be established in Rewari across the stat in the coming 5 years. The Governor further said that apart from Mudra Yojana, the state government will bear the guarantee of a loan up to Rs. 25 lakh to the entrepreneurs from Other Backward Classes (OBC).
Bandaru Dattatreya said that as the industry is the basic foundation of our economy, therefore the present state government has created an ecosystem of ease of doing business to accelerate the industrial development of the state. He added the government has abolished many rules and procedures that created obstacles in granting certificates, licences and permissions available on single window system as a result, Haryana has become the preferred destination for investors both nationally and internationally, said the Governor that along with the traditional sectors, sunrise sectors are also being promoted on mission mode.
Governor Bandaru Dattatraya said, the NCR region of the state is being developed as a logistics hub, and the government is also making continuous efforts to reduce the logistics cost. He said, now the construction work of Integrated Multimodal Logistics Hub in Mahendragarh will be expedited on priority, as well as affordable Heli taxi service will be started for air transport. He further said that to improve transport options and ensure greater accessibility across the state, an affordable heli-taxi service will soon be launched, which will offer convenient air travel to residents, businesses, and visitors, fostering connectivity between key locations. “Besides this, to make the State self- reliant in the energy sector, new 800 MW thermal power stations will be established at Yamunanagar and Hisar, Governor said efforts will be accelerated to develop Kurukshetra, especially Jyotisar, into a major spiritual centre through Mahabharata-themed projects. He said that the government will revive the Saraswati River by restoring its water flow and ecology.
