Haryana to have MRO hub for aero-space & defence industry: Dushyant Chautala

 Addressing a meeting with several senior IAS officers of different departments in the state, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala also holding the charge of civil aviation department in the state said that the state aims to set up a hub in the North for maintenance, repair and overhauling of aero-space and defence equipments on which amount worth Rs 7000 crore will be spent by the government, which will not only provide services to government but also private domestic airline companies. Chautala said, the project is likely to bring employment opportunities to nearly 31000 youths directly or indirectly in coming five years.

The representatives from different departments in the state including Haryana Civil Aviation, Ministry of Micro Small Medium Enterprise (MSME), PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry and civil airport Hisar were also present in the meeting and prepared Aero-space & Defence Policy 2021. Among those present in the meeting were Additional Chief Secretaries Haryana government P.K. Das, TVSN Persad and Sudhir Rajen. Among others included Principal Secretaries Anurag Rastogi, Anand Mohan and Anurag Aggarwal alongwith Apporva Kumar Singh Managing Director HSIIDC, Vijender Kumar Director MSME, Vikas Gupta Director General Industry & Commerce and Saket Kumar OSD of Deputy Chief Minister.
