Haryana’s hottest Lok Sabha seat to have tough contest between four

Hisar: Haryana’s hottest Lok Sabha seat Hisar is going to have a tough fight between four contestants, three of them belong to the former Deputy Prime Minister Ch. Devi Lal’s family, comprising of Ranjit Chautala a former Haryana State Minister contesting present Lok Sabha polls on behalf of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), both daughter-in-laws of Chautala family: Sunaina Chautala contesting polls on behalf of INLD and Naina Chautala contesting on behalf of JJP to give a tough fight to the Congress candidate Jai Parkash JP, who was also President of ‘Green Brigade’ of Ch. Devi Lal was winner of this Lok Sabha seat three times in the past also. Past scenario of Hisar Lok Sabha constituency, comprising of nine Vidhan Sabha constituencies at Hisar, Hansi, Narnaund, Barwala, Uklana, Adampur, Nalwa, Uchana (Jind) and Bawani Khera ((Bhiwani) have total number of  17,63715 voters including 9,42,184 male, 821,534 female and 12 third gender voters, and this Lok sabha constituency had 72.43% voting in previous Lok Sabha polls in 2019.

According to information, first Lok Sabha polls in Hisar were held in 1952 and on most of the occasions Congress has been winner on this seat in 1952, 1957, 1967, 1971, 1984, 1991 and 2004. Information also reveals that apart from this Mani Ran Bagdi of Janta Secular Party won this seat in 1962, Inder Singh Sheokhand of Janta Dal won this seat in 1977, Mani Ram Bagdi won this seat again in 1980 on behalf of Janta Dal Secular, Jai Parkash won this seat in 1984 and in 1996  Jai Parkash was again winner on this seat when contested polls  on behalf of Haryana Vikas Party. Surinder Singh Barwala won the Hisar Lok Sabha seat in 1998 and 1999. In 2009 Ch. Bhajan Lal won this seat on behalf of Haryana Janhit Congress, in 2011 Kuldeep Bishnoi became MP from this seat, in 2014 Dushyant Chautala became MP and in 2019  Brijender Singh son of  son of senior Congress leader Ch. Virender Singh was declared winner on this Lok Sabha seat on behalf of BJP getting 6,03,289 votes in which Dushyan Chautala of JJP got 2,89,221 votes, Bhavya Bishnoi of Congress got 1,84,369 votes and Surinder Sharma of Bahujan Samaj Party got 45,190 votes.

Present scenario reveals that all prominent contestant on Hisar Lok Sabha seat at present include Ranjit Chautala, Sunaina Chautala and Naina Chautala all members of Chautala family going to face tough political fight with Jai Parkash JP of Congress, and all belonging to the ‘Jaat’ community. Information reveals that Ranjit Chautala, a former minister in the BJP government is known for his performance bringing good results in the electricity department in the state in past over four years. Sunaina Chautala of INLD is likely to attract female voters in this constituency. Naina Chautala of JJP known as ‘Hisar Ki Beti’ is also likely to have support of female voters in this constituency. Jai Parkash JP contesting polls on behalf of Congress has been elected three times from this constituency in past also focusing on rural voters, moreover Congress have been winner on this seat seven times in past.
