Bengaluru/Hassan : A 47-year-old woman hailing from Holenarsipura town has filed a police complaint against former minister and local MLA HD Revenna, and his Son Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, alleging sexual harassment toward herself and her daughter. This comes in the wake of reports indicating Prajwal’s departure from the country, purportedly to Frankfurt, Germany. Promptly, the Hassan district police transferred the case to the Special Investigation Team (SIT), established by the government to investigate the scandalous videos allegedly implicating Prajwal. Early last week, sleaze videos allegedly involving Prajwal went viral on social media. Pen drives containing the Video were mysteriously distributed in Hassan city.
Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Karnataka Police has summoned sitting MP and NDA Lok Sabha candidate from Karnataka’s Hassan constituency Prajwal Revanna and his father Janata Dal (Secular) MLA HD Revanna for questioning in connection with the obscene videos case. The summons against the father-son duo come a day after the JD(S) suspended Prajwal Revanna after the Congress formed the SIT to probe allegations of sexual abuse against him.
Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, grand son of ex-PM HD Deve Gowda and embroiled in alleged sex video case, is likely to return to India from Germany later this week to face probe launched by the SIT set up by Cong govt. CM Siddaramaiah wrote to PM Modi asking his to take necessary steps through MEA so that Prajwal can return to India to join the probe.
Meantime SIT issued a lookout notice against Prajwal Revanna, the JD(S) Hassan MP and grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, amidst his involvement in a sexual abuse case. In response to the summons, Prajwal turned to X, previously known as Twitter, on Wednesday, asserting his absence in Bengaluru and expressing confidence in the truth prevailing. He stated, “As I am not in Bangalore to attend the enquiry, I have communicated to CID Bangalore through my Advocate. Truth will prevail soon.”
Citing reports of alleged sexual abuse involving Prajwal as “distressing”’ the NCW chief Rekha Sharma has written to Karnataka police, asking them to “promptly apprehend the accused” and submit an action taken report in 3 days.
