Panic spread among residents of Ambala after the news that five among 40 persons arrived at Juma Masjid Ambala Cantt on March 31, 2020 after trouble started at Nizamuddin Masjid New Delhi are suspected corona positive. District administration as well as health department Ambala has declared alert and warned residents not to come out of their houses other than those on essential services, health department and police services. According to information, among 40 persons arrived here from Nizamuddin Juma Masjid New Delhi include 16 persons from Maharashtra, 11 persons from Nepal, 10 persons from Tamilnadu, two persons from Srilanka and one person from Assam. Health department information reveals that among those suspected corona positive include two persons from Nepal, one person each from Srilanka and Bhiwadi in Maharashtra state and were isolated by the health department and Juma Masjit area is being kept under strict police vigil.
According to Kuldeep Kumar CMO Ambala, samples of as many as 49 suspected persons were obtained, of them five samples were found corona positive during preliminary tests and all these samples were forwarded to PGI Rohtak along with two other samples of persons suspected suffering from corona virus earlier including a 21 years old youth from Punjab arrived at the civil hospital for treatment a couple of days ago for testing again. According to state health department information, five new corona positive cases have been reported in past 24 hours in Haryana state, which include a mother and her two children at Sirsa and with this the number of corona patients became 29 in Haryana state. Information reveals that 234 suspected persons were admitted in hospitals in the state, of them samples report of 175 persons is yet awaited and six patients have been cured. As many as 12531 persons are stated returned from abroad in Haryana state and samples of 650 suspected persons were sent for testing, of them 451 samples were detected corona negative., 21 samples were found corona positive and reports of 175 samples is still awaited.
According to state health department information, seven new corona positive cases have been detected in Haryana state in past 24 hours. Similarly, five corona positive cases were recorded at Chandigarh in this period as such number of corona positive cases reached 15. Among new corona positive cases include a 65 years old man from Nayagaon Chandigarh succumbed to his disease, a doctor working in a Mohali hospital infected after came in contact with corona patients couple arrived from Canada. Among other corona positive cases include a 31 years old youth and a 40 years old doctor both residents of Chandigarh. Meanwhile, Digvijay Singh Chautala donated a cheque of value worth Rs 51 lakh towards relief fund on behalf of JJP alliance ruling political party in the state.
