High hopes to get bulk orders from USA by Panipat Textile Industry

Entrepreneurs of Panipat textile industry have high hopes to get handsome orders from United States this year earlier used to place bulk orders especially for tuffed bathmate on textile manufacturers in China in past years and now after  corona virus epidemic outbreak across the world adversely affected USA, it is presumed that exporters in United States would be inclind towards India to place orders for textile products this year on Indian exporters instead of China. The entrepreneurs manufacturing textile products told that they are receiving good inquiries from United States and expect good orders in future. According to information, nearly 144 textile manufacturing units most of them exporters having strength of nearly 1200 workers in Panipat have been permitted by the government to start production in only two shifts in 24 hours observing social distancing strictly in their manufacturing units.

Vinod Khandelwal Chairman of Chamber of Commerce & Industry Panipat told that textile goods manufacturers has assured to strictly follow directions by the government at work place. He said, there are  large number of textile related units at Panipat known as hub for textile goods not only in India but across the world, which include manufacturing of curtain cloth, blankets, carpets, powerlooms, shuttleless, spinning mills, yarn manufacturing, packing material, and textile machinery in which more than three lakh persons are working having annual business worth Rs 75000 crore, exports of value worth Rs 15000 crore and indigernous business of value worth Rs 6000 crore.

Besides textile goods, there are two another prominent projects Indian Oil refinery and national Fertilizers at Pani[pat. According to information, nearly 2000 employees are working in Indian Oil refinery and large number of senior employees are working on the basis of ‘Work from Home’ and senior officers are now operating from Guest House.
