Honda Enters the EV Era, Unveils ‘ACTIVA e’ and ‘QC1’ in Bengaluru
Bengaluru (Karnataka) : In a groundbreaking move towards sustainable mobility, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) launched its first-ever electric vehicles, the ‘ACTIVA e’ and ‘QC1,’ today. The debut, held in Bengaluru, represents a significant leap forward in HMSI’s commitment to creating a greener future.
The introduction of the electrified Activa brand, an iconic name in Indian mobility, coupled with the all-new QC1, signals Honda’s bold entry into the Indian electric vehicle market. Bookings for these innovative EVs will open on January 1, 2025, with deliveries set to begin from February 2025.
Speaking at the unveiling, Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO of HMSI, shared the company’s vision:

The ACTIVA e: features swappable battery technology, offering flexibility and convenience, while the QC1 boasts a fixed battery set-up, providing reliability and simplicity for diverse users. Both models promise to deliver Honda’s signature hassle-free ownership experience.

Equipped with a flat footboard, sturdy grabrail, and 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, it embodies practicality and premium appeal. Available in five vibrant colors, including Pearl Serenity Blue and Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, the ACTIVA e: is offered in two variants—standard and Honda RoadSync Duo®—to suit every rider’s needs.
The Honda QC1 redefines personal mobility with its elegant design and advanced engineering. Sporting LED headlights, stylish 12-inch alloy wheels, and a futuristic aesthetic, it is a perfect blend of style and functionality. Powered by a 1.5 kWh fixed battery pack, the QC1 delivers an 80 km range on a single charge and a top speed of 50 km/h. It offers convenient features like a 5.0-inch LCD display, USB Type-C charging port, and 26-liter under-seat storage, making it ideal for urban commutes.
