Hooda accuses ruling Haryana responsible for flood situation in state

Talking to media persons at Sirsa, the former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda also leader of opposition in Haryana Vidhan Sabha after having a talk with flood affected people said media persons that in case ruling  BJP-JJP government had taken timely action prior to rainy season the present situation would have been saved to large extent, as a result residents as well as farmers would have not suffered present loss worth crores of rupees due to water overflowing from the rivers. Hooda said, Ghaggar river water has played havoc in Sirsa and Fatehabad districts.

 Information reveals that 50000 cusec water released from the river first time in the history of the state have completely destroyed standing wheat and paddy crops in the area for which thestate government should provide Rs 50000 compensation to the farmers for each acre area of agriculture land. INLD General Secretary Abhay Chautala who also reached at the floods affected areas after leaving  his ‘Parivartan Yatra’ on the way,too, repeated that the worst affected farmers should be given compensation towards the loss suffered by them at an early stageenabling them to cultivate their agriculture land once again.

Among others visited for the survey of flood affected areas at Sirsa and Faridabad to review loss to the people included former HPCC president Dr Ashok Tanwar presently an Aam Aadmi Party leader, Dushyant Chautala Depty Chief Minister Haryana and Ranjit Chautala Power Minister Hooda. All leaders of political parties in opposiition demanded immediate relief to the people suffered property loss as well as the farmers who suffered crops loss. Hooda raised a question over  Haryana government’ decision to upload loss incurred by them on portal at this stage. He said suffering people as well as farmers need immediate financial assistance at this stage and the government in the centre should also release relief funds as in case of Himachal Pradesh.
Dr Ashok Tanwar said that air survey by Manohar Lal Khattar Chief Minister Haryana  over flood affected districts in Haryana state was merely a joke  as well as a fomality and he should have met suffering people as well as farmers to find out their grievances personally, raising a question how air survey by the chief mInister  may save people in flood affected districts at this stage adversely suffered losses due to floods. According to information, as a result of sudden breakage of dam on Markanda river in Ambala district five villages Harda, Hamidpur, Allahapur, Harvali and Shergarh have been severely affected when water entered in about 600 acre area in these villages completely destroying crops as well as damaging residential houses.

With the recovery of thw body of a 21 years old youth missing since past two days in Tangri village Ambala Cantt the total number of deaths in the town have reached 10. Information also reveals that another boy of age 11 years is yet missing and search for him is going on. Most of the residential houses located near Tangri river are yet immersed in water and the residents have been shifted to rescue camps and food is being supplied by the various  social welfare organizations.
