Shahrukh Khan’s recent release JAWAN Film has already done wonders at the Box office. After doing the business of RS 1100 Crore in India and overseas Jawan has become the highest grossing Hindi movie of all times. The Big star cast of Atlee directed film Jawan is surrounded with many female characters including Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattarcharya and some others but the character played by Sanya Malhotra is most discussed ever since the film is released. She is receiving positive reviews for playing a role of Doctor Eeram, a female Doctor whose role is inspired by a real life Gorkahpur tragedy in a hospital in 2017 involving Dr Kafeel Khan.
The Dangal Movie fame actress Sanya Malhotra is receiving laurels from her fans and friends for beautifully portraying the role of Dr Kafeel Khan in the film. Though Sanya has denied in her interviews that she was not aware of the real life tragedy role she is playing in the film but that role was an emotional challenge for her. On the other side Dr Kafeel Khan is receiving praises and calls from his friends and relatives. To gather more information on this we decided to meet Dr Kafeel and hear the facts from the Horse’s Mouth. “ Yes I am very happy that Shahrukh Khan sir and Director Atlee has made such a good film that is receiving laurels from India and abroad. I am receiving calls from the very first day that Sanya Malhotra had played a role inspired from my tragedy in the film. I am very thankful to SRK and Director Atlee for taking many real life incidents in the film including mine.”
Dr Kafeel khan has also written a book on the incident that happened with him “ The Gorakhpur Hospital Tragedy”. Dr Kafeel was a junior most lecturer at the college paediatrics department at that time when many kids died due to shortage of oxygen cylinders in the hospital. Kafeel tried hard to arrange oxygen cylinders to prevent deaths but he was held responsible for the deaths and sent to jail. Dr Kafeel Khan has written a Book on that fateful night in August 2017 and the gut wrenching turmoil that followed his suspension, and his fight for justice. This Book is published in many languages like English, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, Tamil, Oriya, Bengali, Telugu etc..
Dr Kafeel had thanked Shahrukh on social media for this Film but wanted to meet him and the entire unit of Jawan. He has already written a letter and sent his book to SRK . Dr Kafeel told me that he always wanted someone to make a Film on him, for which he visited many prominent filmmakers in Mumbai but everybody asked him to wait for some time. But the release of Jawan has surprised him. It is like a dream come true he said “Only SRK sir can make such a film . I am so happy that my real life incident is mentioned in the film. I want to meet him personally now. At least I have got justice I the Film” Kafeel added.
Jawan Film hit the silver screen on 7 September. Ever since its release this film is raising conversations for its bold political messages. Although neither the director nor any other actor of the film have come forward to confirm the narratives.
