I saw terrorists in Kashmir during Bharat Jodo Yatra : Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi : Rahul Gandhi said in his lecture at Cambridge University that he once faced terrorists in Kashmir during Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said an unknown man approached him and pointed towards a group of people, saying they were all terrorists.

Gandhi said the security forces in Kashmir had asked him not to walk in the region as there was a fear of terror attacks but he chose to continue with the yatra nonetheless.

“I talked to my people and told them that I wanted to continue the walk. We continued walking when an unknown man approached me. He told me he wanted to talk to me,” Rahul Gandhi said. “The man asked him if the Congress leaders had really come to the Union Territory to listen to the woes of the people.Moments later, the man pointed towards some nearby people and revealed they were all terrorists.”

He said that he thought he was in trouble because in that situation terrorists would have kill him.

“But they did not do anything because this is the power of listening,” Rahul Gandhi said.
