MUMBAI: Noted director from Hong-Kong Stanley Tong, who was to team up with Aamir Khan for Jackie Chan starrer “Kung Fu Yoga”, says he would love to direct the Bollywood superstar some day.

The 51-year-old star apparently could not collaborate with Jackie for “Kung Fu Yoga” due to date issues as he had to shoot for “Dangal”.

“I love Aamir Khan. He was busy with his own films when we were to do this film (‘Kung Fu Yoga’). He was doing ‘Dangal’, I haven’t seen the film yet but I would love to. If in future there is something for Aamir, I will definitely work with him,” Stanley told PTI. “We are good friends. When he came to China to promote ‘PK’, we were always together. I like him and his films ‘PK’, ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Dhoom 3’ and others. I would love to show him ‘Kung Fu Yoga’,” the director added. The action adventure comedy film now stars Sonu Sood besides Disha Patani and Amyra Dastur. “For me the actor should fit the role. It doesn’t matter how big or small is the star. If the actor doesn’t fit the role then it doesn’t work. I go by who suits the role,” Stanley explained. Recently Chan was here to promote the movie which is set to release on February 3.—PTI
