IAF,MIG-29 fighter crashes in Punjab

SBSN (Nawan Shahar) ; On 08 May 20, at 1045h, one Mig-29 aircraft airborne on a training mission from an Air Force base near Jalandhar met with an accident. The aircraft had developed a technical snag and the pilot ejected safely as he was unable to control the aircraft. The pilot has been rescued by a helicopter. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of accident.

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh  thanked area people for helping the pilot of an Indian Air Force (IAF).The pilot had ejected to safety before the aircraft crashed to the ground.”I am relieved to know that the IAF pilot ejected to safety  before his MIG-29 crashed today,” the Chief Minister tweeted. He also shared a video clip on Twitter.
