IICF changed the design of the Mosque in Ayodhya

New Delhi : After the Ram temple, the construction of the biggest mosque is going to start in Ayodhya. This is probably going to be the largest mosque in the country. The construction of this mosque has already started in Dhanyipur village of Ayodhya. The design of the mosque was changed at the beginning of the construction. Chairman of Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF), Zufar Faruqi, said that it has been decided to design it on the model of mosques in Middle Eastern countries. A decision has already been taken regarding the naming of the mosque.

IICF chairman Zufar Farooqui said the new design by a Pune-based architect has been finalised. Earlier this mosque had no dome in its design. The dome is kept in the new design. In addition, earlier its design was modeled on Indian mosques, now the design has been changed. According to the Trustee Chairman, one of the largest mosques in the country will be built on the model of mosques in Middle Eastern countries.

It is reported that the IICF meeting was held in Mumbai regarding the construction of a mosque in Ayodhya. The meeting was attended by representatives of various groups of Muslims including Sunni, Shia and various political parties. The design of the mosque including naming was also discussed in this meeting. The Trustee Chairman said, “it has been decided to name it after Islamic cleric Mohammad bin Abdullah”. Besides, the size of this mosque will be more than the previous proposed size.

Trustee Chairman Zufar Farooqui said that when the construction of this mosque built on 5 acres of land in Dhanyipur village of Ayodhya is completed, 5 thousand people will be able to pray together there. Besides, Farooqui also said that a charity cancer hospital with 300 beds will be built inside the mosque. He said that the chairman of a well-known drug company Habil Khorakiwala agreed to establish and run the charity hospital. It will also have a Library and Research Centre too.

Incidentally, the mosque will be constructed in Dhanyipur village, about 22 km away from where the Ram temple is constructed in Ayodhya.
