Despite paying the amount and waiting for about two years, Kamalpreet Kaur, a resident of Amritsar said the immigration consultancy failed to keep its promise and when she demanded a refund, the consultancy refused to return the money. Amritsar resident was duped of Rs 16.74 lakh by the My Immigration Solution consultancy firm in Sector 17C run by Vikas Sharma on pretext of sending abroad and arrange Visa for Canada, rather threatened her when she demanded refund of money, She lodged a complaint with the police against immigration agent Tarandeep Kaur and Wilayat Singh under Immigration Act. Despite paying the amount and waiting for almost two years, Kamalpreet said the consultancy failed to keep its promise lingering over the matter and finally refused to arrange a visa, Kamalpreet Kaur said. A case under Sections 420, 506 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code was registered at the Sector 17 police station.
In the second case, a resident of village Uncha Chalana in Yamunanagar district Sidiksha Dureja was defrauded of Rs 9.80 lakh on the pretext of securing a spouse visa for Australia, who made a complaint with police against three persons Waris Chauhan and his companions Kamal and Nitesh running immigration service in the name of Karan Visa Sewa Kendra in Sector 8-C assured work visa for her husband, but not only failed to arrange Visa in-spite of several visits but misbehaved, threatened her dire consequences and kill her.
In third case of immigration fraud to Ritu a resident of Kurukshetra in Haryana who lodged a complaint with Sector 3 police station against Amit, Archana Batra and Aarti of Auskanj Overseas Education Private Limited in Sector8-C allegedly cheated her for amount worth Rs 1.91 lakh assuring study visa for USA, but the immigration neither arranged visa nor refunded the money.
