Increasing crime, drug addiction among youths in Haryana due to unemployment : AAP

AMBALA (SATISH HANDA): Addressing a press conference here Naveen Jaihind State President Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused ruling state government Haryana involved in corruption in recruitments of government jobs as exposed recently in Haryana Lok Sewa Aayog and Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) while filling up vacancies and collected amount worth crores of rupees towards bribe from applicants recently during selections for the posts of doctors and HCS cadre recently. He said, Haryana State Vigilance Bureau arrested Deputy Secretary an officer of HCS rank Anil Nagar and few others involved in frauds and demanded action against crocodiles instead of small fishes in the state. He said, over 30 lakh unemployed applicants apply for government jobs against only five lakh vacancies in the state.

Naveen Jaihind said, fast increase crime in the state, robbery cases and fast increasing drug addiction among youths are reported due to unemployment in youths in Haryana state. He said. AAP will hold protest outside winter session of Vidhan Sabha on December 17 against increasing corruption in offering government jobs to unemployed youths in the state and will present ‘cow dung’ and ‘gau-mutra’ to all members in Vidhan Sabha.

Jaihind demanded investigation of properties of HSSC Chairman Bhopal Singh Khadra as well as all ministers and MLAs in Haryana state government in view of large scale corruption reported in the state. AAP leader said, his party will raise a question about youths in the state facing un-justice, being deprived of their rights when government jobs are being auctioned. He said, nothing will happen if youths carry books in their hands, spend huge amount on education in the absence of employment opportunities and are compelled to carry ‘lathees’ and swords in their hands. Jaihind said, youths and their parents will have to come forward to raise voice against corruption and illegal sale of jobs.

Meanwhile, large number of prominent Congress leaders including Congress State Convener Vivek Bansal, HPCC President Shelja,  AICC General Secretary Randeep Surjewala and former minister Kiran Choudhary protested outside the offices of Haryana Lok Sewa and Haryana Staff Selection Commission at Panchkula on Tuesday arrested by the police and later released also threatened to protest outside Vidhasn Sabha on December 17.
