India’s cumulative Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeds 175 crore

With the administration of more than 7 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeds 175 crore as per till 7am on Monday as per the Union Health Ministry Data. This has been achieved through 1, 98,99,635 sessions.

As per the ministry data 37,901 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,21,24284.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.33 percent and 16,051 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

India’s active caseload is presently at 2,02,131. Active cases constitute 0.47 percent of the country’s total positive cases.

However, the testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded and in the last 24 hours saw a total of 8,31,087 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 76.01 (76,01,46,333) crore cumulative tests.

While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, the weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 2.12 percent and the daily positivity rate is reported to be 1.93 percent.
