New Delhi : Instashield, a medical technology startup specializing in disrupting viruses and fungi, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Montgomery County, Maryland, USA. The company made this announcement in a press statement on Monday, attributing the successful agreement to the support provided by the US-India SME Council during the Economic Development Trade Mission to India.
The MOU signing event occurred during the US India SME Council Annual 2023 Incredible Inc 50 event in Hyderabad, as mentioned in Instashield’s official statement.
Instashield went on to detail the core objectives of the trade mission, which included establishing partnerships with technology companies focused on growth, fostering research and development opportunities, expanding sales and market presence in the United States, and exploring potential collaborations across various sectors, such as Biotech, Healthcare, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Cleantech.
The MOU was formally inked by Hitesh Patel, the Managing Director of Instashield, and Marc Elrich, County Executive of Montgomery, Maryland, in the presence of delegations representing both the United States and India. This MOU opens the door to collaboration in various areas, including offering international soft-landing and economic development programs to support market expansion activities in the U.S., as well as introducing valuable business networks and resources.
Instashield’s groundbreaking medical device technology, endorsed by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Government of India, is capable of neutralizing a range of viruses, including COV2. It accomplishes this by emitting hypercharged high-velocity electrons that strategically target the s-protein of coronaviruses, thereby reducing infectivity and transmission. This device activates within 18 minutes and can cover areas as large as 5,000 square feet, certified for safety by accredited labs. In 2021, Instashield successfully entered the Indian market through distributors, institutions, hospitals, pharmacies, and online platforms like Amazon, according to the company’s statement.
Hitesh Patel, the Managing Director of Instashield, expressed, “Through our innovative medical device technology, this agreement marks a significant stride in the global fight against viruses and preparedness for potential future pandemics. We extend our gratitude to both Montgomery County and the US India SME Council for their unwavering support in promoting startups like ours.
