Vij after taking charge on the very first day said ‘Gabbar is Back’. While having a look over public complaints registered with police in every district in the state it was observed that in 13 districts across the state there were more than 1000 FIRs lying unattended since a long time hanging on fire without any police investigation. Vij took matter seriously and warned head of all police stations and police posts across the state to look into the cases promptly and submit reports through SPs of every district. Information reveals that out of over 9500 pending FIRs action has already been taken in nearly 93% complaints and action on remaining 7% complaints is under fast process thus reforms in law and order in the state witnessed reforms, besides a friendly relationship between public and police.
