Alwar:  A high-level delegation from Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), led by Vice President Prof. Saleem Engineer and National Secretary Maulana Shafi Madani, visited Kolani (Telia Bas, Raghunathgarh) in Alwar district to express solidarity with the grieving family of a newborn tragically killed during a police raid.

The appalling incident occurred on March 2 when personnel from Nogawan police station conducted an early morning raid under the pretext of investigating cybercrime. Shockingly, the operation was carried out without a warrant or the presence of female officers, and in the course of their reckless actions, the police allegedly trampled a newborn child to death. This inhumane act has left the entire village in deep mourning and heightened fears of police excesses in the region.

During their visit, the JIH delegation met the bereaved family, offering their heartfelt condolences and support. They also interacted with village elders and local leaders, including former Rajasthan minister Mr. Nasruddin, who provided a detailed account of the situation. The delegation assured the family of all possible assistance in their pursuit of justice.

Prof. Saleem Engineer and Maulana Shafi Madani then proceeded to the protest site, where villagers had gathered to demand accountability. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Saleem Engineer reminded them that their ultimate protector is Allah and urged them to remain steadfast in their quest for justice. He cautioned against losing momentum, as history has shown that fatigue and compromise in such struggles often embolden oppressors. He emphasized the need for unity, resilience, and internal social reforms, calling upon the community to strengthen its connection with faith.

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind strongly condemns the brutal killing of the infant and demands immediate action against the police personnel responsible. The delegation reiterated its commitment to standing with the victims and ensuring justice is served.

Also present during the visit were Advocate Liaqat, Maulana Tahir, and Obaidur Rahman (Assistant Nazim, District Mewat, Haryana), who expressed their solidarity with the affected family and the protesting villagers.
