According to information, in the last nine years, the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras under PMBJP have seen significant growth in some of areas running kendras  on a franchise model with individual entrepreneurs applying to establish and run these Kendras. There is a planning to open up to 400 Kendras in Haryana in future. At present there are very few such Kendras functioning in governement Hospitals in Haryana state due to shortage of place in the hospitals where most of the medicines are supplied to the patients free of cost. However, there are such stores, one each in Karnal and Bhiwani government hospitals at present.

Whereas, in private sector 10 centres in Panipat, 6 at Ambala, 8 in Karnal, 6 in Kurukshetra, 7 in Yamunanagar, 8 in Jind, 5 in Kaithal, 17 in Hisar, 3 in Bhiwani, 9 in Sirsa and one each in Fatehabad district at present. The reason for not having such sale centres in government hospitals in the state is due to acute shortage of place in these hospitals. In majority of private hospitals in Haryana, the hospital management have own medical shops inside the hospitals as they are not interest edto sell medicines available at cheaper rates. According to the government information, 256 Jan Aushadhi Kendrtas are functioning in the state at present.
