Amritsar :Jathedar Akal Takht the highest Sikh temporal seat Giani Raghbir Singh here today issued an edict by asking the acting party President for the cancelation of primary membership of senior Akal leader Virsa Singh Valthoa from the Shriomani Akali Dal ( SAD) besides imposing ban to rejoin the party for the period of next ten years.
Today during a marathon meeting of five Sikh head priests led by Jathedar Akal Takht Giani Ragbir Singh in written orders has asked the party acting president to cancel his party membership within twenty four hours and impose a ban on him to rejoin the party for the next ten years .
Jathedar said that Valtoha being a spokesperson of the party aired his personal derogatory views in a statement before media which extended severe damage to the reputation of the highest Sikh temporal seat and he admitted all that in writing before the five Sikh head priests when he appeared before the Akal Takht in the morning today.
Jathedar said Valthoa has leveled serious allegations by saying the Jathedar was possessing property in foreign countries besides under the immense pressure of BJP/ RSS to take decision against Sukhbir Badal. But today on appearance at Akal Takht he failed to produce any evidence before Akal Takht but submitted a written apology for the false allegations he leveled on Jatehdar Akal Takht.
Earlier Giani Raghbir Singh had ordered Shiromani Akali Dal leader Virsa Singh Valtoha to appear before Akal Takht on October 15 at 9 AM with the evidence regarding the allegations of pressure to take a decision against Sukhbir Singh Badal.
Giani Raghbir Singh , In the written order sent to Valtoha had said that if he did not appear on October 15, it would be assumed that Valtoha was trying to put pressure on the Jathedars.
Valtoha has alleged that RSS and BJP are pressurising Akal Takht Jathedar to expel Sukhbir Singh Badal from party president post. He said that Giani Raghbir Singh and Jathedar Harpreet Singh were under pressure of RSS and BJP.
Valtoha said that he had met Jathedar last week and he had admitted that they were under pressure from BJP and RSS to act against Sukhbir Badal.
