J&K tunnel collapse: Bodies of 10 labourers recovered

Following a two-day long rescue operation, the bodies of ten trapped labourers have been recovered from the debris of the collapsed tunnel at Ramban on Jammu and Srinagar highway. Three labourers were rescued at the time the tunnel caved in.

The rescue operation was launched by NDRF, SDRF, police, Army and local administration after the collapse of the under-construction tunnel at Khooni Nallah on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Ramban.

Talking to media, Mussarat Islam, the Deputy Commissioner of Ramban, however said it was not the tunnel collapse but the landslide that had taken place.
