Jobs mafia threatens to kill Haryana Staff Selection Commission Chairman

Ruling state government in Haryana claiming transparent and corruption-free government in the state providing government jobs to youths merely on the basis of merits suffered severe set back due to 86 recruitment cases of fraud detected in filling up government recruitments in past 100 days by Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC). On the direction by both Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter and Home Minister Anil Vij a campaign was started by State Vigilance Bureau to investigate embezzlements.

Information reveals, a jobs mafia is actively functioning in the state to provide government jobs to youths in the state charging heavy amount towards services provided by them to get job on the basis of submitting fake documents by the applicants to avail 5% preference marks in recruitments based upon financial and social factors as well as arranging a fake  candidate to appear in written examination or a physical test.

During checking, HSSC officers and staff in recent recruitments for the posts of 400 male police sub inspectors and 65 female police sub inspectors found that 360 applicants had submitted fake documents as well as  affidavits or found fake candidates appeared in the written or physical tests. Meanwhile Chief Secretary Haryana directed HSSC to take action against those involved in embezzlements and cases were registered against those submitted fake documents. Applications of all those candidates submitted fake documents, affidavits were rejected by HSSC.

Investigation reveals, large numbers of embezzlements were detected in recent recruitments for constables and fake candidates were found appeared in test. Out of 5500 suspected candidates 102 applicants caught by vigilance department admitted fraud in written and physical tests, fake candidates had appeared on their behalf and they were handed over to police. Recently, jobs mafia in Haryana state threatened Bhopal Singh Khadri Chairman HSSC and other senior officers on telephone not to take action against those trapped in illegal activities and also offered them heavy amount and threatened to shot them if cases against those arrested will not be withdrawn. Khadri said, the complaint has been forwarded to CID to investigate the case and provide security measures to HSSC officers. A meeting was held at Chandigarh comprising of CID Chief in Haryana Alok Kumar, HSSC Chairman Bhopal Singh Khadri, Rajiv Dudeja Secretary HSSC and Mohit Handa DCP Panchkula a couple of days ago to discuss the matter and increase security measures in all recruitment cases. Information also reveals, as many as 136 fake applicants have been identified so far.

Meanwhile, State Vigilance Bureau has already recovered amount worth  Rs 3.80 crore from Anil Nagar an officer of HCS rank and two others allegedly collected bribe from 30-32 applicants including 15 of them applied for the post of HCS and 17 applied for the post of Dental Surgeon. Nagar was arrested and remanded to police custody.
