Joint team of CM flying squad, health department and police raids hospital

Ambala: A joint team of Haryana’s chief minister flying squad, health department and CIA Staff of Ambala police on Tuesday on an information raid a private Shrikrishna Hospital being run at the Naraingarh road in Baldev Nagar area Ambala City. The raid continued for more than 12 hours till late evening. The hospital was run by Dr B.K. Sharma who was earlier working in a multi-speciality hospital in Punjab. Among those raided the hospital included a team of CM Flying Squad Anish Malik SI, Hitender Gautam SI and Parminder Singh accompanied by Hemant Grover District Drug Controller Ambala and Dr Sanjiv Singla Deputy Civil Surgeon. This hospital having daily OPD between 200 to 250 patients from Haryana and Punjab, was popular for the treatment of drug addicts.

Some allopathic medicines including nearly 1.5 lakh intoxicated tablets were recovered by the raiding team from this recognized drug de-addiction centre, which were seized by the raiding team, samples of 13 types of restricted drugs were also seized by the team from two stores situated at the ground as well as first floor of building where NRX drugs were recovered, which were sealed, the samples are being sent to the forensic laboratory. Allopathic medicine, documents for treating patients by admitting them in the hospital hospital record were also sealed and taken into custody by the Health Department, CM Flying Squad staff said but the matter was not disclosed to the media persons present at the spot. An FIR has been registered against the hospital. The further probe is underway and the accused will be arrested, said police.
