MUMBAI: Sonam Kapoor has got stuck into a lot of controversies for speaking her heart and the actress says during the shoot of an episode of “Koffee with Karan” her co-guest on the show Kareena Kapoor Khan made sure she doesn’t speak too much.

The actresses are working together on “Veere Di Wedding” produced by Rhea Kapoor and Sonam says Kareena is one of her closest friends in the industry.

“Kareena is my closet friend and she made sure I don’t speak anything wrong on the show,” Sonam told PTI when asked about her appearance on the chat show hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar. The “Neerja” actress was talking on the sidelines of Global Citizen Festival India here. “It’s a smart decision. We have huge population and if India progresses everyone else also does. India’s biggest asset is its people. I am excited about this concert,” the 31-year-old actress said about the initiative. Focusing on major issues like eradicating poverty, quality education, water, sanitation, hygiene and gender equality, the first edition of the event was organized at the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex.—PTI
