Kejriwal lauds Punjab CM for taking path breaking initiatives to promote industrial development in state

*Says Mann is the best CM Punjab ever had 

*Asserts that Punjab government is committed for facilitating the industrial growth in state 

Amritsar :  Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday lauded the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for taking strenuous efforts for promotion of industry in the state. 

Addressing the gathering during the Sarkaar Sannatkaar milni here today, the Delhi Chief Minister said that Punjab is scoring new heights in every arena. He said that in form of Bhagwant Singh Mann Punjab has got the best Chief Minister for the state. 

Arvind Kejriwal said that Punjab is making rapid progress in every arena which is unprecedented and unmatched. 

The Delhi Chief Minister said that From sacred land of Amritsar, we made history by opening government’s first hi-tech school of Eminence from here yesterday and will convert all government schools into ultra-modern with world class infrastructure institutions. He said that Today through such conclaves, we will solve all issues of industry. Arvind Kejriwal said that there were 882 steel foundry units in the past but now only 126 units are operating due to the apathy of previous state governments.

The Delhi Chief Minister promised that Punjab government will take this number to 2000 industries with its industry-friendly policies.  Arvind Kejriwal said that he still remember that AAP had promised many guarantees to industrialists before the elections at this same place and assured that government will fulfill each and every promise made to them. He said that before few months, Punjab government issued a phone number to seek feedback about the problems and issues being faced by industries. 

The Delhi Chief Minister said that After scrutiny of the records, we have found that industrialists had only three main issues including electricity, road infrastructure  and systematic problems. He said that the AAP government was committed to redress all concerns raised by industrialists promptly. Arvind Kejriwal said that we had not signed dummy MOUs as previous governments did during their regimes.

Rather the Delhi Chief Minister said that Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann personally went to each and every renowned industrialists and due to his persistent efforts, the state has received investments more than Rs 50000 crore within one and half years after AAP came to power. He said that this investment would create 2.86 lakh jobs in the state.  Arvind Kejriwal said that government was making conducive environment for the industry and it will take every step in this regard. 

The Delhi Chief Minister said that he has asked Punjab CM to hold such interactive ‘Business Meets’ after three months.  He also lauded the Punjab government for launching green stamp paper, single window system, zero corruption, clean and responsive administration. Arvind Kejriwal said that 2.75 lakh MSMEs had  been registered by Punjab which is highest so far in the country.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that Bhagwant Mann is his younger brother and he is proud of him for making best efforts to restore pristine glory of the state. Arvind Kejriwal said that during floods, Mann took stock of situation by going on grassroots through boats and ensured relief to them. He said that earlier, CMs used to ferry helicopters to do same practice. The Delhi Chief Minister exhorted the industrialists that Without them Punjab cannot grow and with you, the government will take state to new heights .
