Khadi & Village Industries Commission celebrates International Women’s Day

Mumbai : On International Women’s Day 2022, Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Mumbai organized various programmes on the theme of this year’s celebrations, #BreakTheBias. The activities included installation and inauguration of Sanitary Napkin Machines, which will be of great help to the women employees who spend long working hours in the office premises. In addition to sharing of experiences by PMEGP Women Entrepreneurs, Lecture on Financial Management and cultural programmes by Women employees were also held.

Earlier, Preeta Verma, Chief Executive Officer, KVIC inaugurated a 3-day Khadi India exhibition, organized in the premises of the organization. She appreciated the product stalls set up by the woman entrepreneurs from different parts of the country.

Addressing on the occasion, Dr. Sanghamita, CVO, KVIC shared her journey of success and spoke on women’s contribution to society and how in each and every phase she can support other women. “You cannot help anybody unless you have good education. So always leave a message around you to get a good education and health for better future”. “Be yourself, be in the driving seat, and take charge of yourself”, she concluded.
