Khattar highlights plans, achievements, hike in exports & MSME sector

While addressing media persons, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar presented a report card on the achievements, hike in exp[orts and industrial development in micro, small, medium entreprise (MSME) sector on completion of nine years of BJP government in Haryana state. He said, when he took over the charge of the state in 2014, the state was having  talks of discrimination, corruption and an atmosphere of despair. Haryana CM also presented a report card on the completion of nine years tenure of his government, highlighting several achievements as well as people-oriented and public welfare programmes carried out in his nine years tenure as chief minister in the state.
Khattar said that BJP after successfully ruling in the state now BJP government have peacfully completed over four years of the second term since BJP do not have the kind of experience the previous Congress government had of indulging in loot and corruption, though we have the experience of serving the people. He continued that  nepotism and regionalism have been replaced by a commitment to equitable development. Khattar said, BJP government in Haryana working on five S: Shiksha, Swasth, Suraksha, ‘Swambhiman’ and ‘Swavlamban’ with good governance. He said that his government’s tenure has been marked by a transformative change in the state’s administrative systems, culture of sensitivity, responsivity and transparency in the past over nine years. The Chief Minister said, during the past nine years, ruling Haryana government has always focused on economic growth, industrial development, and the overall well-being of its residents.

Khattar said, the state’s exports have increased from Rs 68,032 crore in 2014 to Rs 2,45,453 crore during the year 2022-23, also exhibiting a remarkable upswing in economic prosperity in the state. He further added that Haryana has attracted investments worth Rs 18,422 crore, leading to the establishment of 1,59,622 MSME units in the state as such the industrial expansion generated employment opportunities for about 12.60 lakh individuals. Khattar said that ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padao’ campaign launched in Haryana state by the present government brought much improvement in female -male  sex  from 871 in 2014 to 932 at present, adding that it would improve further.

On the agriculture front, Khattar said his government raised the compensation amount for crop loss because of natural calamity from Rs 6,000 per acre in 2013 to Rs 15,000 per acre. He said in the last nine years, his government disbursed a compensation of Rs 11,000 crore to farmers while the previous government paid Rs 1,158 crore in 10 years. On the health segment, Khattar said the number of medical colleges in the state rose to 15 at present as against six in 2014, adding that eight more medical colleges will come up in the state. The number of MBBS seats has risen to 2,185 at present in the state as against 700 in 2014. He said that  nine significant tasks in past nine years include creating Parivar Pehchan Patra providing the benefit of 397 schemes and services to 45 lakh families, clean drinking water to every 31.41 lakh households in rural areas, 24-hour electricity is being supplied to 5,791 villages (86 per cent of the total villages), Antyodaya Saral Portal brought 675 schemes and services from 54 departments online which also led to the removal of 36.75 lakh fake beneficiaries, the state government had started Mission Merit as such on brought transparency resulting 1.10 lakh youths have got government jobs and there are plans to provide 60,000 more.
