Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter demanded immediate central government interference in long pending SYL canal water dispute between Haryana and Punjab in spite of Supreme Court of India decision in favour of Haryana state to get its share of SYL canal water water and construct Hansi Butana Link canal. He also raised issue over agreement in the state for construction of Kishnu Dam to bring water in Haryana state and told that agreement for construction of Lakhwar and Renuka Dams has already been finalized with Uttarkahnd and Himachal Pradesh governments. Khatter said, ruling government in Haryana trying its best to meet shortage of water and its correct used for crop irrigation as well a save water since major area in the state is turning as dark zone.
Khatter said, Haryana is one of the major sate collecting maximum amount of GST in the country but due input tax credit the state is getting only 20% GST amount and demanded beneficial schemes for the state in this regard. He said, scheme for family identification cards has been introduced in Haryana state helping to identify families below poverty line in the state to enable them to get benefits of all government developmental schemes.
Khatter said, state government has started Industry and Employment Policy 2020 for ‘Ease of Doing Business’ in the state and working on several programmes including Logistic & Warehousing Policy -2019 to bring reforms in logistic and Transporting sectors to reduce production cost, develop an international level Horticulture Bazar costing amount worth Rs 9000 crore at Ganaur, a Flower Market at Gurugram, an Apple Market at Pinjore and a Spices Market at Sirsa, developing Rail Coridor from Palwal to Sonepat, opening 4000 Play-way Schools for children between age group 3 to 6 years and setting up Export Societies in every district in the state to achieve exports worth Rs 85000 crore in the state and create employment opportunities for five lakh youths in coming five years.
