Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat to witness triangular contest

Kurukshetra : The land of holy ‘Geeta’ witnessed ‘Mahabharat’ in the past, now going to witness a tough triangular contest between three political leaders: the industrialist Naveen Jindal recently joined BJP going to contest present poll battle in Kurukshetra, who had defeated Ashok Arora of Congress and INLD state president Abhay Singh Chautala twice in 2004 and 2009 from this Lok Sabha seat and Dr. Sushil Gupta AAP state president having alliance with the Congress in Haryana. Naveen Jindal contested on behalf of Congress had lost the poll on this seat from BJP candidate Raj Kumar Saini in 2014. After remaining away from politics for 10 years Naveen Jindal now contesting again from Kurukshetra  Lok Sabha seat after joining  Bhartiya Janta Party recently.

Past scenario reveals that Naveen Jindal had defeated Abhay Singh Chautala of INLD in 2004 by 1,60,190 votes and again defeated Ashok Arora of INLD with a margin of 1,18,729 votes in 2009. However, Jindal lost this seat to BJP candidate Raj Kumar Saini in 2014 with a margin of 1,30,390 votes. Jindal will now contest the present poll on this seat against AAP candidates Dr. Sushil Gupta having alliance with Congress and INLD Senior President Abhay Singh Chautala. However, Jan-Nayak Janta Party (JJP) president Dushyant Chautala also has not yet declared any contestant for Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency so far. However, Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat is going to have a tough triangular contest between three contestants Naveen Jindal, Abhay Singh Chautala and Dr Sushil Gupta.
