Amritsar, September 4 – Lady Resident doctor of Government Medical college Amritsar was molested when she was heading towards her girls hospital after her duty in the Guru Nanak Dev Hospital attached with the Government Medical college.
Police has registered the complaint against the two unidentified bike borne youth who intercepted her in the medical college premises when she was near her girl’s hostel.
In her complaint alleged that she was first chased then intercepted by the two bike borne unidentified youth who snatched her purse and molested. She raised an alarm while shouting in a loud voice resulting IN bikers ran away from the spot.
The incident occurred on September 3 night. Police has registered FIR in this regard and are still unable to identify the alleged accused inspite of CCTV footage provided by the Medical College Authority.
On being contacted ACP Maninderpal Singh said that CCTV footage of the area has been procured and was being analyzed. As far as her claim was concerned about her molestation was also being verified as its matter of investigation. He said that the victim girl (27) was from National capital of Delhi and a 2nd year student of Government Medical College Amritsar.
