Ashok Mehta expresses deep concern over long pending proposal of Guru Gobind Singh University

Ambala: While addressing media persons here on April 2, the National President of Rashtriya Punjabi Mahasabha Ashok Mehta, a former Information Commissioner, Haryana expressed deep concern over the announcements made by the former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar during public gathering at Karnal on 12th February 2017 as well as in BJP poll manifestos prior to Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha polls in 2017 and 2019, also made assurance to the Punjabi community in the state on the eve of 350th ‘Prakash Utsav’ for developing Guru Nanak University in the state, but no action was taken by the state government thus violating a breach of trust with the entire Punjabi community in the state.

Mehta said that BJP leaders are popular for making false promises to people in the state during public rallies and prior to elections, and the entire Punjabi community in Haryana is much annoyed due to this and has decided not to listen to their false promises made by their leaders during public rallies as well promises made in poll manifesto during present Lok Sabha and coming Vidhan Sabha polls, and want to know that the false announcement made by BJP leaders at the time of elections is a part of ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ as such Punjabi community in the state have lost faith in the party..
