Mahua Moitra: ‘Personal Question!’, Mahua Moitra Storms Out of Ethics Committee Meeting

New Delhi : Vinod Sonkar, MP & Chairman of the Ethics Committee said, “Such unruly behavior of the MP is Offensive. The Committee asked question on the allegation lebelled by another MP Nishikant Dubey.” According to Sources, Chairman of the Ethics Committee is consulting with Legal Authority and other Members of the committee and may direct strict action against AITC MP Moitra.

Mahua Moitra asked questions on Govt.-Adani link in the Loksabha session of Parliament in exchange of bribe as BJP MP Nishikant Dubey recently sent this complaint through a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker Omprakash Birla. Then the debate started in the letter, it was alleged that Mahua had asked questions about the Adani Group in Parliament with a bribe from businessman Darshan Hiranandani. JD(U) MP Giridhari Yadav was present in the meeting along with Mahua Moitra. He was also heard saying, “They were asking Mahua Moitra personal questions. They have no right to ask personal questions”. The MPs of the opposition camp alleged that the head of the Ethics Committee himself asked Mahua unethical and indecent questions.

Expressing anger, opposition BSP MP Danish Ali said that the head of the Ethics Committee is stripping Draupadi. He said, “The Chairman of the Ethics Committee wanted to know which hotel Mahua stayed in while on a foreign trip, who she stayed with and who paid the bills too. Who are those calls Mahua at night and she spokes to them”.

Congress MP Uttam Kumar Reddy said, “Listening to his (Ethics Committee Chairman) question, it is clear that he is asking the questions according to someone’s advice. It’s very very bad, for the last two days we have been asking.. while they (Mahua Moitra) were asking where are you going? Who are you meeting with? Can you give me your phone call record?..they don’t have any proof of allegation or money transaction”.
