Mamata says, she is unable to attend the India Block meeting on June 1

New Delhi: What will be the position of the INDIA alliance after the vote ? The opposition INDIA alliance is meeting on the day of the last round of Lok Sabha polls to calculate it. Aam Aadmi Party supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called this meeting in Delhi. According to sources that all opposition parties have been invited to the meeting. It is reported that all opposition parties have been invited to the meeting. There will be Stalin, Tejashwi, Akhilesh Yadav. However, the news so far is that no one from the Trinamool is likely to attend this meeting. 

This Lok Sabha election-2024 is ending in 7 phases. The last phase of voting will be held on June 1 in several states including West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar. And on that day, after the end of the voting, the opposition alliance is sitting in the discussion. According to the sources, discussions will be held on the way in which other political programs will proceed, starting from the equation of the post-election alliance. In fact, Kejriwal is currently busy campaigning after getting bail in the Delhi-excise case. His bail is till June 2. After that he has to surrender. June 4 Lok Sabha Election Counting and Result Declaration. Therefore, Kejriwal, one of the partners of the alliance, wants to decide the possible outcome and his next steps in advance. And so he called the meeting himself according to informed sources.

Trinamool is also one of the partners of the INDIA alliance invited to the June 1 meeting. Earlier, Mamata Banerjee was present on behalf of Trinamool in most of the alliance meetings. Also attended by Derek O’Brian or Sudeep Banerjee. But according to unconfirmed sources, there will be no representative of the Trinamool party in the June 1 meeting. It has been informed by Trinamool that on the 1st, voting will be held in the highest nine seats in Bengal. All the leaders will be busy with it. As a result it is not possible to attend the meeting in Delhi.

On Monday, Mamata had a rally in Barabazar in support of Calcutta North Trinamool candidate Sudip Banerjee. From that meeting, Mamata said, “BJP will lose this time. They cannot come to the government. She said, on the 1st, ‘India’ has called a team meeting. On that day there is voting in nine constituencies in Bengal. Apart from Bengal, Bihar has polls. Voting is on in Uttar Pradesh. How will Akhilesh go?” Apart from this, Mamata said, “I have to supervise the polls on one side and post-disaster relief on the other. That’s more important to me”.

Which is more important that Mamata also has to cast her vote on that day. She is a voter of South Kolkata. Trinamool All India General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee is one of the members of the Coordination Committee of India Block. He is a candidate in the Diamond Harbor constituency, he also has to cast his vote that day. 

Speculations were created in the political circles about one of Mamata’s words. The Bengal CM said that she will provide support from outside for the formation of the government at the Centre. Which meant, Trinamool would not be a part of the opposition coalition government. Left-Congress of Bengal said as expected about Mamata’s words, the Trinamool leader said that which is to give a message to BJP. Later, however, Mamata explained the words. And said, there is a misunderstanding spread about what she said.

However, on Monday from the stage of campaign, Mamata made it clear, “There will be no government in India without the Trinamool.” In her words, “Congress and CPM are trying to win the BJP by cutting votes”. The veteran leader is contesting as a left-backed Congress candidate in North Kolkata, Pradeep Bhattacharya. It should be noted that Pradeep was an MP in Rajya Sabha with the support of Trinamool. A few months have passed since his tenure as Rajya Sabha MP. On Monday, Mamata taunted Pradeep without naming him. The Trinamool leader said, “Whoever has become a Congress candidate here, he can’t even walk! Contesting only to cut vote”.
