Modi government formed a committee on one country one election, notification expects today

New Delhi : The Modi government seems to be taking a big step to push back opposition in the current political senario before the Lok Sabha elections next year. The issue of “one country, one election” is continuously making headlines and meanwhile, the Government of India has constituted a committee, which will give its report on this. This committee will be headed by former President Ramnath Kovind. The Government of India can also issue an official notification on this today.

If the decision of “one country-one election” is implemented in the country, then the assembly elections of all the states and the Lok Sabha elections will be held simultaneously. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has raised his voice loudly in favor of this on many occasions and now an atmosphere is being created in the country regarding this. Some time ago, the Law Commission had also sought the opinion of the common people on “One Country One Election”.

Yesterday, the Central Government had announced to call a special session of Parliament from 18 to 22 September. After which speculations were being made that in this special session, Modi government can bring a bill regarding “one country-one election” and pass it after discussion as they had majority. As soon as this speculation started, a new debate started in the country, many opposition leaders termed bringing any such bill will be unconstitutional.

The discussion intensified because yesterday when Union Parliamentary Minister Prahlad Joshi informed on Twitter that the Central Government has decided to call a special session of Parliament from 18 to 22 September, during this period there will be 5 meetings and we are moving towards Amrit Kaal. There will be meaningful discussions on the issue of country’s development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mentioned in the Parliament that no one should outrightly deny the issue of “One Nation-One Election” and there should be a detailed discussion on it. To speed up the pace of the country’s time, expenditure and development, PM Modi had said that “one country-one election” is the need of the hour and said that we should take steps in this direction.

The opposition is furious over the atmosphere being created by the central government for one country one election. Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary has said that the country does not need it right now, the intention of the Modi government is not right in this matter. The government should first focus on getting a diagnosis from inflation and eliminating unemployment. The opposition also said that diverting the lights from the government’s irregularities, they are doing so.
