NEW DELHI: Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi recalled his interaction with reputed weaver and Padma Awardee Biren Kumar Basak and thanked him for his gift.

PM Modi through a tweet recall his interaction with Padma Shri awardee Biren Kumar Basak during Padma Awards ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on November 8. In tweet, Prime Minister Modi thanked to Biren Kumar , who is a saree weaver from West Bengal, for presenting him beautiful gift.

“Shri Biren Kumar Basak belongs to Nadia in West Bengal. He is a reputed weaver, who depicts different aspects of Indian history and culture in his Sarees. During the interaction with the Padma Awardees, he presented something to me which I greatly cherish.”
