New Delhi : The natives means ‘Adivasis’ of Bengal are marrying Bangladeshi intruders! BJP MP Nishikant Dubey made this disrespectful comment while speaking in the Zero hour in Parliament and he directly alleged that Mamata Banerjee was condoning it. While talking about the welfare of tribals, the Lok Sabha house was turned into an uproar by the BJP MP’s comments. Loksabha votes are very near. Before that, the opposition is well aware that the NRC issue will make the Saffron camp. But the Trinamool MPs exploded because it was beyond imagination that the BJP would not stop disrespecting the tribal community in this way.
BJP MP from Godda, Jharkhand, Nishikant said in Lok Sabha at ‘Zero Hour’, ” once Mamata Banerjee said that Bangladeshi infiltrators are coming to West Bengal and changing the map of Bengal. But she did not stop it after becoming the chief minister. Districts like Maldah, Murshidabad are filled with Bangladeshi infiltrators. Bangladeshis are coming and marrying tribal women and taking away the land. And that is why the population of the whole country is increasing but the tribals are not increasing. This incident is happening in districts of Jharkhand, Bengal, Bihar. Therefore, NRC (National Register of Citizens) should be introduced to chase Bangladeshis out of the country”.
Opponents are raising questions, what do you want to say Nishikanta? Bangladeshis infiltrating, marrying tribals and occupying land, and then obtaining citizenship? Otherwise, he would not have raised the NRC issue. His allegation is that the Mamata Banerjee-Hemant Soren government is aiding infiltration. According to a Trinamool MP, Nishikanta must have forgotten that he disrespected the tribal community while establishing the issue of infiltration. However, Kakali Ghosdastidar joined the session in protest. Alongwith Sudeep Bandyopadhyay, Aparupa Poddar, Pratima Mandal are also joined in tune. Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar said, “In fact, while talking about the public welfare of the tribals, they are insulting them. Tell your home minister to stop infiltration before making false allegations that Bangladeshis are being patronized by Mamata Banerjee. Whose responsibility is it to protect the border”?
Why did Nishikant Dube bring up West Bengal and Mamata Banerjee after talking about Jharkhand in the beginning? Questions are being raised in the political circles about that. Amit Shah recently visited Bengal, raised the NRC issue again and Trinamool clearly mentioned many times that they are against NRC. They raised Question, So did Nishikanta target Bengal by pulling the minority issue ? Isn’t this tribal context of his actually an insult to Scheduled Tribes? Angry over this issue, state minister Birbaha Hansda said, “This is the real form of BJP.” How they see the tribals, it was once again revealed. They will get the answer in the polls.
