More than 88 persons died due to HT electric wires over residential areas in Haryana this year

Ambala: Mishaps due to HT wires have been reported  in Haryana in the state in which several persons have either been reported dead and much more sustained severe burn injuries. Information reveals that more than 88 persons have lost their lives in the state and many more sustained severe burns. According to information, a relief as regard mishaps due to HT wires over residential areas has been seen this year, since between 250 to 300 persons were generally reported died due to electric burns in previous years and people in the state usually raising question over such untimely deaths due to lapses on the part of state electricity department., why a permanent solution is not being made in this regard and for how long killer electric current will remain passed on the head of innocent people and who is responsible for such a large number of deaths?

According to information, the state electricity department has started shifting 11 and 33 KV electric wire above residential colonies, educational institutes and temples, and the work has been completed  in as many as 3500 residential colonies across the state. Information also reveals, HT wires over residential houses have already been shifted in 95 residential colonies in Bhiwani, 60 residential colonies inAmbala, 40 residential colonies in Panipat, 12 residential colonies in Kurukshetra, 10 residential colonies in Rohtak and 6 residential colonies in Fatehabad.  

However, residents of Haryana have high hopes for improvement regarding electric supply in the state after Cabinet Minister Anil Vij has taken charge over this department. On a media question he said that he has already directed concerned officers of the electricity department in the state to give a hin a report as regard load on each and every transformer installed in the state and in case these are under-load causing repeated failure the load on such transformers should be should be increased, Vij directed concerned officer to remove hanging electric cables on the electric poles as well as remove all electric poles on public places, as well as in residential areas affecting movement of traffic as well as posing a threat to the people immediately.

Vij said, developing residential colonies under HT wires by land mafias and developers is another serious matter taken care of in future and stern action  will be taken against such developers and every care is being taken to shift HT electric wire hanging over residential areas in the state. Cabinet Minister said, as regards supply of electricity much improvement have been witnessed at present as compared to the previous years assuring improvement in future also.
